An orchard in bloom is the epitome of spring in the country! I’ve always adored Anne of Green Gables, and her “White Way of Delight”- imagine my delight to find an Avonlea paradise within 30 minutes of Memphis! Earlier this year, when I saw the peach trees donning their lacy, pink frocks, I knew that I just had to bring Nahomy and Nate here for their engagement session. These two, wonderful people tie the knot this weekend, and I wanted to give them a little something to look back on before their big day.
Aside from the fact that the orchard is stunning, I’m glad we did their portraits here for another reason- and it’s a biggie. When a couple shares their vision for their wedding day with me, I like to weave that end goal into their engagement session. Nahomy has selected blush and green tones for her wedding colors… and I can’t think of a setting that is more on point with her palette!
I loved these two! Everything about them is so sweet; from their wedding hashtag (Nsquaredforeverpaired), to the way they chose not to actually kiss in their engagement pictures,
…to the way he looks at her so tenderly,
…to the way she sees him as her prince,
…to the way they’re absolutely at peace together,
…to the way Nahomy made the perfect wardrobe choices!
Once again, God lavished his art on us for this session. It had been cloudy all day, then the skies cleared and we were bathed in a rosy, amber sunset for our time together. Want to hear about something that was “meant to be?” Nate shared that they have a tradition of taking sunset selfies…. Low and behold, God painted the ultimate sunset glow just for us.
I’m so happy for these recent Memphis grads- in about 48 hours they’re beginning their new life together!! Being a piece of this chapter in their love story is a joy and an honor. I can’t wait to see what is in store for them!
