This styled session highlights the lush beauty of Memphis’s Woodruff-Fontaine House in early summer. A purple wedding palette, inspired by the South’s wisteria blooms, is set against the garden backdrop of this Victorian venue. From the bride’s soft makeup, to the luxurious florals, and cocktails, you’ll glean plenty of creative ideas for how to employ this versatile color.
The florals, by Heaslett Design Studio, are a celebration of textures and the full spectrum of the purple wedding palette. Anemones, peonies, thistle, and roses contribute to the bouquet and centerpiece. Let’s appreciate the groom’s floral pocket square! Not only is it glorious, but with this accessory, it slips into the pocket and there is no fidgeting with boutonniere pins.
While discussing the groom, take note of how his navy suit folds effortlessly into the color scheme.
Tablescape adheres to the cooler side of purple with silver settings and napery. Elegant caned seating compliments the cool tones in similar metallic shades. A stenciled cake and blackberry champagne are a feast for the eyes and appetite! To conclude festivities, consider dried lavender for your send off. Aside from staying in keeping with the chosen hue, its fragrance is beguiling, and is an environmentally friendly option.
