Elisa and Yuri’s garden wedding was everything a romantic, summer celebration should be. Hazy shades of sage and mauve, a reception under the stars, and the grounds of Haseltine Estate were idyllic.
It is especially encouraging that even in the face of the pandemic, Elisa still received her dream wedding, and the two are creating their new life together. Beginnings and moving forward are a blessing to us all! The gathering was intimate, but the joy of seeing family again radiated in every moment. As you will see, family was an important thread throughout the day (for more ideas, see our post on honoring family).
Elisa made a timeless, classic bride! Her gorgeous dress speaks of Grace Kelly, and her pearls were her “something old.”
Take a moment to grab your tissues! We have never witnessed such a touching first look with a father. Likewise, the bridesmaids-family and fellow dance company members- were overwhelmed. So many happy tears were shed by all.
The handsome groom was so excited to see his bride! Due to the pandemic, Yuri’s family could not fly from Israel. His time, and eyes were all for Elisa that day! The love and amazement in their special moment reminded us why we think first looks are so indispensable! (More on that here)
Due to the couple’s decision to do a first look, we had plenty of time to take bridal party images before the ceremony. This meant more time for feasting and dancing later!
The ceremony itself was a beautiful highlight in our day with the family! The bride’s father led the traditional nuptials. Thoughtful details were provided for the guests- such as insect repellent for the summer garden wedding. The welcome table payed tribute to the Elisa and Yuri’s meeting in Israel, as well as their mutual love for Messianic missions.
A feast and dancing under the stars completed Elisa and Yuri’s celebration. We love the unique ways for which the guests were provided. In order to insure social distancing, the buffet was attended one table at a time- determined by trivia. Lawn games, and a photo booth kept non-dancers engaged. Yet another example of attention to health was a dessert bar in place of one big wedding cake. True to summer, an evening storm shortened the dancing and lawn games, but the family’s alternative provisions kept spirits high. In the wake of quarantine, it was such a breath of fresh air for these sweet people to enjoy the company of others that little could’ve affected their joy.
Elisa and Yuri, we love you, and can’t wait to see how God blesses your future together! Thank you for letting us be part of your perfect day!
